A man and his wife, the only brunette, are also suspected members of the gang. According to the police chief who investigates the case, the action occurs always in pairs: one pair approaches the victim, and it’s always a beautiful woman that look like one of the blondes.

Throughout the action, the couple called “Bonnie and Clyde,” in reference to the famous duo who practiced assaults in the United States in the 30s. Police are investigating the possible involvement of other men in the gang.
In Salto, a city in São Paulo, another blonde was arrested on Monday, accused of embezzlement. According to the civil police, the girl used bank cards to make purchases over the internet. She has her own house and car. Police seized 50 credit cards and debit cards in her name and five other people, 13 mobile phones, two laptops and a notebook with a record of names. She bought from consumer goods such as computers, phones, clothes and shoes, to travel abroad. Many products were sold, probably with the help of others.
According to police investigation, the gang migrated from home theft to kidnappings by 2009. The man has always participated in the actions, and alternated his partner among women of the group in an organized fashion, making the identification of the seven as a cohesive group. The targets were always women, preferably blondes, who were usually caught in the parking lots of malls and supermarkets.
